Life-time Achievement Award "National Pride Award" Conferred on Dr. M. P. Srivastava

Dr. MP Srivastava, former Director Planning and Professor & Head Plant Pathology of CCS Haryana Agricultural University has been conferred prestigious National Pride Award (Rashtriya Gaurav Award), in recognition of his life-time outstanding contribution and exemplary services in the field of Plant Protection for strengthening food security through popularization of Plant Clinic and transfer of innovation-driven technology. The award instituted by India International Friendship Society, a leading voluntary organization was presented at a seminar on Economic Growth & National Integration at New Delhi by former Governor of Tamil Nadu and Assam, Shri Bhishma Narain Singh on November 24th 2014 at the India International Centre, New Delhi.

Dr Srivastava has been honored with several awards and honors for popularization of plant clinic and empowering farmers with innovative technology for increasing productivity and mitigating losses, which include; Fellow of National Academy of Sciences 1988, Extension Scientist National Award 1996, Man of the Year Award 1998 (USA), Dr. Radhakrishnan Award 2013, International Technology Achievement Award 2014 amongst others. He has the distinction of convening an Evening Session in Italy (2008) on Plant Health Clinic, delivering keynote addresses in International Congress of Plant Pathology at New Zealand (2003) and Beijing (2013), Thiruvananthpuram & Hyderabad (2014) besides lecture in India, Edinburgh (1998), Beijing (1999, 2000), Singapore (2005), Italy (2008), Germany (2009)  amongst others to share his concept to strengthen food security.

Dr. M. P. Srivastava felicitated with Dr. Radhakrishnan Award

Dr. M. P. Srivastava, a former Director Planning and Head, Department of Plant Pathology of Haryana Agricultural University and Chairperson, XSGrowth Plant Health Clinic was honored with prestigious Dr Radhakrishnan Gold Medal Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution in Education and Research & yeoman service to the society.

The award was conferred on him by Global Economic Research Association on 19th October at Chennai on the occasion of National Unity Conference by presenting him Gold medal,   memento and certificate of Excellence.

Dr. Srivastava is recipient of several awards & honor, which include Best Extension Scientist National Award, Environment Award, and Fellowship of the National Academy of Sciences amongst others, for transfer of innovative technology to farmers in mitigating losses from plant pests, augmenting productivity and boosting food security.

His major concern is food security, for which he is popularizing plant clinic globally. In this context, Professor Srivastava   was invited to deliver a Keynote lecture on ”Plant Health Clinic & Food Security in Asia” during 10th International Congress on Plant Pathology at Beijing on 29th Aug 2013, at Beijing, China.

Currently he is rendering online advice on establishment of plant clinic, diagnosis and remedies of plant pests through his web portal XSGrowth

XSGrowth is equally cocerned with environmental pollution and global warming, hence the lead taken by the Chairman of XSGrowth Plant Health Clinic, Dr M P Srivastava is a humble initiative in this direction, which has been coverd by Metro Now- "Dr. MP Srivastava is on a mission - a green mission to be precise. Dismayed at the growing concrete jungle in Gurgaon and mindful of horrors of global warming, Dr. Srivastava has since started a movement of sorts by planting saplings of Peepal and Neem in the Millenium City. His group is called APPAN (Awareness Promotion for Peepal and Neem."

International Technological Achievements Award Conferred on Dr. M. P. Srivastava

Global consultant on plant health and former Director Planning & Head, Plant Pathology of Haryana Agricultural University, Prof. M.P. Srivastava has been bestowed upon with “International Technological Achievements Award” on February 9, 2014.

The award was given in recognition of his internationally acclaimed contribution on Plant Healthcare Technology and its dissemination towards mitigating crop losses and promoting plant health clinic worldwide. The award instituted by EET CRS, was given to him by presenting a memento and Certificate of Excellence in a glittering function in Noida on 9th of February 2014. Dr Srivastava has shared his innovations in reducing crop losses and strengthening food security at several occasions in India and at International Congresses at Edinburgh 1998, New Zealand 2003, Beijing 2013.
